THE TOTAL OPERA EXPERIENCE

Attending an Opera at the Arena di Verona Opera Festival is an extraordinary experience, combining emotions, details and marvelous moments. Considering the rich sets, the ensemble, the orchestra, the lyrics, the dance company, extras, costumes and scenery separately, enables one to discover the numerous elements that precede and are necessary to prepare the staging of performances that have enthralled millions of spectators from all over the world for more than a hundred years. Composers, librettists, set and costume designers and directors are described through their works, which come to life on stage and become works of art at the Arena as well as in the AMO Museum.

The items on display here are part of the Fondazione Arena di Verona Archives, a valuable testament to the history of the Verona Opera Festival since 1913.
